Logan and Miranda

Meet Logan and Miranda...
The happy newlywed couple!
Miranda was my roommate for about a year when I lived in Provo and I've never seen a more perfect match! I'm so happy for them! And their reception was beautiful!

My handsome hubby

This is kind of a dark photo (iphone camera) but I was trying to get them with the cake, which was so pretty and yummy!

My other old roommate Sarah!

Getting ready for the bouquet toss!

She overthrew the bouquet, she has quite the arm!

She she got a do-over... :)

There was a chocolate fountain, and Sarah, Being the adorable person that she is, brought her own marshmallow peeps to dip into it.

Darci and Jason!

I think I love weddings more now that I'm married because it makes me reminisce about my own wedding day and all those happy and excited and love-filled memories and feelings come flooding back. I love Bryant and I am so happy for Miranda and Logan! (and the fact that we now have another set of married couple friends! wahoo!!!)

Oh and in case you can't tell, I'm now a red-head. Bryant took me to see a late showing of how to train your dragon (which was super good actually!) and I mentioned afterwords how I was thinking of dying my hair again, so at 11:30 and night, we ran into the store and bought hair dye.

The official name of the color was something like "light brown with a hint of red" but, as I should have learned years ago, the box lies, and my hair came out dark red. But it's ok, I love it! (except for the few parts I missed, but give me a break, it was after 2 in the morning when It was done and I did it myself...)

Little things that make me happy...

Here is just a list of little things that have made me happy or excited these last few days...

1) The sun is finally out to play!

2) Because the sun is out, I was able to get Bryant out of bed today on his day off to take me to school on the motorcycle.

3) My old roommate Miranda is getting married to Logan on Saturday!!!!Haha isn't this just the best picture ever? And yes, that's really their faces.

4) We now have skype so we can video-chat with Bryant's parents in California and his brother and his wife in Idaho!

5) Speaking of my sister-in-law, she should be having a baby literally any second now and I'm going to be an aunt for the first time!

6) I'm going to a relief society dinner thing tonight, It will be the 2nd relief society activity I've been to since we moved here 10 months ago. I just never know about these things cause i'm in primary all the time. I'm excited because our spouses are invited so Bryant is coming too, and I am eager to start feeling like we are a part of this ward and not just the ward babysitters.

7) I work with some great people and Linda made me a loaf of bread the other day. Yum!

8) School is winding down, and I'm actually excited to get started on my research paper on the Kalahari desert and animal conservation there.

9) My puppy is getting so big, and he went for his first swim the other day! (well, kind of.. he kept sticking his head all the way under the water trying to pick up rocks, he looked like a duck...)

10) the sweet little kiss on the cheek Bryant just gave me :)

A trip long overdue...

Today was day 2 of my spring break and once again I didn't have to work. Today was also Bryant's day off work. For the last couple of weeks we had been trying to find time to go do a session in the temple. Unfortunately, Bryant works all day and when he comes home, I'm usually running out the door to go to my job. But we decided that Thursday was our best bet to make it to the temple. Then Bryant decided to go all out and go to the Manti temple. We live 5 minutes away from a temple, and the Manti temple is a good hour and a half or so away, but it is the temple we were sealed together in and since we had the time, we thought today was a good day to go back.

The trip up was great, I took a little nap while Bryan listened to the BYU basketball game on the radio. When we got there, the next session wasn't for another 45 minutes so we found a little place to eat. I don't know who thought of this idea, but I'd like to shake their hand. It was a burger AND doughnut joint! So you buy your greasy burger and wash it down with a fatty doughnut...it was shear genius. The Manti temple is so beautiful! It's definitely one of my favorites! (Well, of course it is, it's where I got married!) My grandma Bushell, who passed away last year, used to refer to it as "her temple". She absolutely loved attending there and made sure she went as often as she could, offering rides to others who wanted to go as well.

After the session, we even asked a worker if we could see the spiral staircase that go up the sides. He took us over and told us about them. The staircase is 179 feet high and I can't remember how many stairs there are exactly, but trust me, I was getting exhausted just looking at all of them! When we were reserving a room for the sealing, we thought about doing it in the room at the top of the stairs, but it was just too small to fit all the people who were going to be there, and although it would have been really cool, I don't know if everyone could have made it all the way up there. I would have had to stop halfway and take a lunch break! haha.

I always think I'm too busy or too tired or too stressed to go to the temple, but I tell you what, every time I go, I come out feeling so relaxed, so filled with happiness and so loved. It's as if someone pushes a "re-set" button on me and everything I am worried about goes away. The spirit is so strong there and I am so grateful for temples and the calmness they provide for me. There is nothing better than finishing a session, and being able to hug my husband in the most beautiful and peaceful place on earth. Thats when my faith is strongest and I know everything is right and true.
And I'm so grateful to be sealed to the best husband in the entire world for time and all eternity.

Happy St. Pattys day!

I love spring break.
I love 60 degree weather.
I love having the day off work.
I love St. Patrick's day

And I love my husband!

So today was the first day of spring break, and besides having a dream about having a paper due and then waking up freaking out for a second, I was the happiest person in the world because I got to sleep in until 11!

I then proceeded to be super lazy and I watched last nights episode of Lost that I missed because I was at work.
Next, Bryant came home and we were both starving, so we went to Chick-fil-a where they had a "lucky day" special where if you buy a meal and bring the receipt back before the 31st of march, you get the same meal for free.

We then went to the mall where Bryant bought me a cute mickey mouse t-shirt (I'm a sucker for all things disney) and then, like every time we go to the mall, we had to go to gamestop to look at video games for Bryant. Usually, I get super bored in there, but Bryant goes to all my favorite stores so I try to be a good sport about it. But THIS time....

I bought a video game for myself!!!

Yup!You heard me.

When I was a kid, we had a Sega FOREVER! We had a Sega clear until a few years ago when we finally upgraded to a play station 2. And believe it or not, I LOVED playing Sega games. My favorites? Sonic spinball, and Ecco.

So as I was being bored and wandering around, what did I happen to find?
40 classic sega games all on one disk for the xbox 360!

And who has an xbox 360? BRYANT!!!

And whats the best part??? Sonic spinball AND Ecco are both on there!
once we got home, I threw it in and Bryant and I played Sonic for over an hour. He looked at me and said "your going to blog about this aren't you?" You bet your buttons I did! haha!

Bryant also bought me the new disney Princess and the Frog movie today, and we just finished watching it. We probably really shouldn't have spent all that money, but cuddling up next to the best husband in the whole world watching a super cute movie is totally worth it. Even if he did pinch me when I was wearing green...

Catching Up

So it's been a while since my last post, but I have been so sick for the last 3 weeks that I haven't really done a whole lot, but the other night I was going through some pictures on Bryant's iphone that I have taken over the last couple of weeks so this is just going to be a "catching up" kind of post.
Isn't this just the creepiest picture? haha! I was kind of down because I never get to see my friends anymore, they are always so busy, but a couple of weeks ago My old roommate Sarah and my best friend Katie invited me over to watch a movie. We watched it at our friend Jason's apartment because he has a big T.V. This is a picture of Jason's roommate (who interestingly enough, I found out we have the same geography class, who knew?) who had a box of these masks from a concert he went to and it was freaking Sarah out.
Also a couple of weeks ago, My mom got a ton of tickets to the BYU vs New Mexico basketball game from a friend who had a bunch extra, so Bryant and I, Bryant's friend Eric, My brother Colter and his date Nicole, My other Brother Sawyer and his two best friends, my Mom and My Dad all got to go.
Sawyer pulling a funny faceI have gone to basketball games at BYU before but none that were this crazy! It was a full house and the crowd was nuts! I don't know a lot about how basketball ranking or playoffs or whatever works, but apparently this was an extremely important game. Unfortunately, I had to leave early to go to work. Thankfully, I had a couple come into the store that had a little girl dressed up like a BYU cheerleader so I was able to ask them if we won or not. We lost by just a couple of points and apparently there were some pretty bad calls right at the end.

I'm just putting this picture up here because I am so proud of this dinner. One night Bryant was taking a nap after work and I was bored, so instead of mac n cheese or pizza for dinner, I decided to go all out and make fried lemon chicken, stuffing, gravy, and potatoes au gratin, I even set the table instead of eating in the living room and using the footstool as a table! I was particularly proud of the potatoes, we couldn't eat all of them so I took the left overs to my family and had them try them. They were awesome!
And last but not least! Bryant has been working with Ace to teach him that he has a "spot". We put his pillow in the back corner of the living room, and moved his food bowl there too, and we have trained him to stay there until we let him roam around. It's nice because he's such a curious little guy that if you want to read or watch T.V. or cook, it's hard to keep track of what he's getting into. But now I can just tell him to go to his "spot" and he will stay there so I don't have to worry about him getting into trouble. So far, the longest he's stayed is about an hour, but that's because he fell asleep. I can't wait until it warms up! I want so badly to take my kayak out and I want him to learn to swim!

I had a dream the other night that my parents gave us two beagles and I was so upset that I would have to train them too, but then my dad said that I should just name them both Ace and then they would know all of the stuff he knows. It was weird.

Well, That's just my little update!
P.S. I'm finally not sick anymore! I was able to sleep through the night for the first time in 3 weeks last night!
P.P.S.S I'm going to be an aunt for the first time any day now! I'm so excited!!!

House! Cure me!

Ug, I'm always sick.
I mean ALWAYS sick.

Two weeks ago, I had a completely stuffed up head. My nose was plugged, my ears wouldn't pop, my head felt like it weighed 50 Lbs.

Then I felt good for a week.
1 week

Then this last Tuesday night, I got the chills, and a slight sting in my throat. The next morning, my throat is killing me, my chills are worse and I have aches in my back that won't let me get into a comfortable position to sleep, and when I finally do get to sleep, the nausea hits me at about 7 am.

Despite the excessive amounts of nyquil, I haven't been able to stay asleep for longer than a couple of hours.

Last semester, I was sick continuously for a month but with changing symptoms, meaning that when one thing was getting better, something else got worse.
This is getting ridiculous,

Not to mention, I'm the most bored person in the world! I was excited that I had to force myself outside to go take a geography test. I even stopped at work on the way home to grab my paycheck.

So what have I done with myself while I've been stuck at home all week?
Well since season 3 of Dexter is not available on Netflix yet, I've been watching insane amounts of House.

I bet he could figure out whats wrong with me!
Do you think House makes house calls?

So when did you get your tonsils out?

So I'm a bit of a freak of nature for two big reasons. The first, it that I never had wisdom teeth. Nope, never. My mouth is just too small. I even had to get 4 molars taken out once just to make some room for all my other teeth.

Unfortunately, this last week, I started having REALLY bad pain in the back left side of my jaw and just a couple of days ago, I noticed what felt strangely like a tooth growing back there.
A wisdom tooth!!! What???

Yeah, I'm pretty much freaking out.

Oh well, it's just one, at least I don't have to have 4 taken out. That would stink.

So what is reason number two?
Lets just say that my favorite question when I go to the doctor is "So, we don't seem to have any record here, but when did you get your tonsils taken out?"

Here's where the plot thickens... I've never had them taken out! Yup, I don't know if they are just too small to see or if I just wasn't born with them, but doctors always think I've had them taken out...

Just thought I'd share these two medical mysteries with you! I'm off to write my paper for South African History...
