Savannah Says

It's time for another round of Savannah Says! I've gotten into the habit of writing these down on my phone as soon as she says them. Enjoy!

We were all sick this week, and Savannah came and crawled in bed with me and asked "Mom, how are you feeling?" and I said "I have a tickle in my throat that's making me cough" and she paused, then said "Oh, well that's lousy".

Later, she was coughing and I asked how she was feeling, she said "I feel like Scooby Doo, if he was a chicken, eating a pickle."

The tiles in our kitchen are hot lava, and while I was doing dishes, she was hopping around on them, then froze and yelled "Nobody move a muscle!"

We were in the Riverwoods for dinner last night and two teenage girls walked by and Savannah ran up to them and said "Hey girls! You can't go swimming in that fountain over there ok! It says 'no swimming' on it, so don't go swimming! Alright? NO SWIMMING!"

Quietly singing in the car "We gotta go fast! We gotta go slow! I'm never going to give up! I'm never ever going to give uuuuuuup!

Bryant dressed her in a white, lace romper yesterday morning and she came into the bathroom while I was doing my hair and makeup and she complained that she didn't want to wear it, and wanted a princess dress instead. We were in a hurry and I didn't have the time to change her outfit so I told her she looked beautiful and like a princess anyway and she yelled "No Mom! This shirt doesn't make me look like a princess, I look like Humpty Dumpty!"

"Mom, can you do me a huge favor?"
"Sure! What do you need?"
"I need you to go downstairs and do some laundry please..."

Savy: "Mom, do you have a baby in your tummy?"

Me: "uh, no, I don't have a baby in my tummy right now."

Savy: "Well how do babies get in your tummy? Do you eat them?"

Me: "No, you don't eat babies to get them in your tummy, they just live in there until they get big enough to meet their family! Like when Deagan was in my tummy, remember?"

Savy: "So they are not like a peanut butter and jelly sandwich?"

Me: "Nope, you don't eat them like a sandwich"

Savy: "oh yeah, because they would be too hard to eat. See? My neck and my head are hard, you can't eat my neck or my head. But Mom, you need to have my sister, her name is Keiko..."

Disneyland Part 4!

Part 4 of our Disneyland trip!

Lots of photos in no particular order:

^^Grandpa bought DJ his first set of ears!^^

^^Drum solo while waiting in line!^^

^^On the Jungle Cruise, she had her hands like this the ENTIRE time. You can't go through the jungle without your binoculars!^^

^^We watch a lot of Jake and The Neverland Pirates, and we were walking to out of the bathrooms, when Jake walked around the corner! Savannah stood there in stunned silence, then handed him a sticker. He took it, put it on her shirt, then grabbed her hand and walked with her down the street. Then posed to let us get some photos, and gave her a big hug and kiss. I think this was one of her favorite parts of the entire trip, and I will always remember it!^^

^^Our last day there was the day Ed, Robyn and Tyler got to spend with us at the parks! It was so special for DJ and Savy to have their whole family with them!! Also, 30 seconds after I took this photo, there was a 4.1 earthquake!^^

^^This photo was taken after the earthquake. We were waiting to watch Micky and the Magical Map and it happened just as it started, so they shut it down for a bit, so we just stuck around until it started again.^^

^^Getting grandma Stokes to guess which hand had the surprise!^^

^^How I feel when we are at Disneyland. Don't make me go! Also, just an FYI since she is barefoot in this photo. Remember to pack extra socks for kids! I packed extra clothes and Pajamas to put them in at night while at the park, but I did not pack extra socks in the diaper bag. She got her socks soaked and they wouldn't dry, and we ended up spending 18 bucks on a pack of 2 pairs of socks in Toontown. LEARN from my mistakes! Heed my warning! PACK EXTRA SOCKS!!!

^^She was pretty proud of her drawing she did at the animation academy^^

^^Savannah's first real roller coaster! She was so excited that she was tall enough to go on it! I measured her at the beginning of the line, and her head barely touched the marker! When we made it to the front of the line, Savannah was so excited, that she measured herself at the marker there to show the cast member that she was tall enough. Remember how I said she was scared of the little kids rides? Well this child has no fear of rollercoasters! She had her arms up and everything!

^^Sleepy babies^^

Our last day was so much fun. I think the highlight that day was Savannah meeting Jake, the roller coaster, and doing the "Turtle Talk With Crush" which is a fun live-animation, intereactive show where kids get to ask Crush, the turtle from Finding Nemo, questions. Savannah was the first kid he talked to, and he called her "Surfin' Savannah" (which is now how she introduces herself most of the time!) and when she told him it was her birthday, he sang the word "Dude" to the tune of Happy Birthday for her. She thought that was pretty awesome.

I have a few more photos from our day at the beach, and someday soon-ish I'll post a few photos from Bryant's phone on here as well.
